TSMC sees Fab 14 Phase 1 mass production to begin early next year -- AFX - Asia, 6/11/2002 e-insite.net Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd said it expects the Phase 1 at its Fab 14 to begin mass production early next year. "We will have equipment installation for Phase 1 in the second half this year and mass production is seen early next year," a company official said. He said construction of Phase 2 at Fab 14 is likely from the second half this year. Fab 14 will Phase 1 and Phase 2 will have a combined monthly capacity of 60,000-70,000 12-inch wafers.
