Well of course, I know next to nothing of USA history. In history lessons here they just tell you how we gave the French a good pummeling for century upon century.

But wait a minute...didn't you guys have a problem with "Savings and loans" or something? Was that a private concern??, or did Roosevelt have something to do with it?

Also, in the SAY's LAW link, Hoover and Roosevelt are shown clearly to be wanting in getting over the 1930's depression. Actually, I think the right wingers are incorrect about the final action..."The new deal". That was actually a good idea imho. i.e. created some "supply" to get things moving...
