IPOs replace cash with shares Correct. Notice how few IPO's have come to market over the last two years? Notice how much supply of shares have been taken out of the market by the NYSE members since the beginning of 2000? Over 1.5 BILLION shares. Notice the record short positions? Over 1.5 times the percentage of total volume is traded short and in a few weeks twice the level of shorting done compared to the 1974 Bear market wrath on a week in week out basis. The buying frenzy will turn into buying panic. Best regards, J.T.
