I'm not so certain your interpretation of John 14 is totally correct Tom, It was not my interpretation. It was the KJV and ASV: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Other versions: NIV, NASB and NSRV say this: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Strongs Concordance : eimi . hodos . aletheia . zoe oudeis oudeis rchomai . pater. . . YLT says: Jesus saith to him, `I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one doth come unto the Father, if not through me; Supporting scripture: John 10:9; I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. Rom 5:1-2; Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Eph 2:18; For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Heb 10:20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
