The need for cheap, dependable (Hispanic) labor to fuel the American economy (at minimum wage or less) outweighs any necessity that these people speak English.

One of the ways to slow illegal immigration into this country is to increase the minimum wage.

Whoever thought this was a good idea? No need for language skills and the subsequent dilemma of having parents who are not citizens and are not eligible otherwise for citizenship.

Before this people like my father in law had to naturalize in one way or the other. He became a citizen after his parents (from France) passed citizenship requirements.
