Since it is true, perhaps you should do a moment's research before asserting the opposite. Decades-old dairy subsidies are probably the best known example. If you would do a moments research you would find that it is not true with respect to sugar subsidies. That could give you a pause for thought that no single case can be extrapolated to the entire subject of subsidies. You think that the EU is threatening trade retaliation because the farm subsidies generally cause prices to rise? It's a competitive world. The EU is objecting because it allows US agricultural products to be sold at a lower price than the Europeans can compete at. jttmab
