I'm more concerned about Jose Padilla and his ilk. I would be concerned about the possibility of terrorists starting fires in a drought condition. The potential for damage is enormous.

Re: To be honest I'm more concerned about Jose Padilla and his ilk.

Perhaps a return to reality might ease you mind?

Here's the sober view of this threat:

"CBS News Correspondent Jim Stewart reports some U.S. officials now admit they're not sure what Padilla's plans were when he returned to the U.S. last month."

MINISTRY OF FEAR UPDATE
Dubya, Ashcroft Fearmonger While Feds Back Off Padilla Story
White House Can't Get Own Story Straight

CBS News is now reporting utter choas has overtaken the White House efforts to scare the American public and to protect its own political rump with the alleged Jose Padilla "dirty bomb" plot.

Dubya today proclaimed that there is a "full-scale manhunt" underway following the Padilla arrest.

And John Ashcroft said that Padilla was allegedly plotting to detonate a radioactive "dirty" bomb in the U.S., probably in Washington D.C.

But CBS News Correspondent Jim Stewart reports some U.S. officials now admit they're not sure what Padilla's plans were when he returned to the U.S. last month. And any plot, including possibly exploding a radiation bomb in Washington D.C., was in the "initial planning stages."

This is getting truly scary -- the "this" being the way the Bush Administration is trying to manipulate the press and the fears of the American people.

Dubya announces a big manhunt -- one month AFTER Padilla was arrested?!

(Boy, that looks like it's really effective.)

Bush and Ashcroft pound the podium about dead certainties -- even as other federal officials are admitting they have no clear idea of what Padilla's plans were?

Oh yes: And then there's the additional news from weapons experts that the alleged "dirty bomb" in question would do more to cause panic than to inflict mass destruction.

When will the Whores get hip to Karl Rove's Ministry of Fear?

CBS has started. But there's a long way to go.
