Hi Ron:

I haven't had a chance to try your value flow diagram yet. I have actually been getting in some work this afternoon. There are lots of places to verify the value of options exercised for upper level execs. In this case I verified on page 16 in the Proxy Statement for Annual Meeting that came in the mail. The actual, non rounded value for Tom Siebel's exercises was $174,613,267 and this is equal to market price minus strike price at time of exercise.

Here are a couple of line sources:
Scroll down on this one.
biz.yahoo.com

Here is another site at Multex, but for some reason it is reading $0 stock option compensation this afternoon:

yahoo.marketguide.com

The most reliable place to look is the Proxy Statement for Annual Meeting. For example, I noticed that the Yahoo site does not list the 34M that David Schmaier exercised. The Proxy Statement also notes that the value of Tom's unexercised, but exercisable options, as of 12/31/02, is almost half a billion dollars, or 495M. The value of Tom's unexercisable options as of 12/31/01 is 162M.

Best, Huey

Here is a direct link to the Siebel Proxy on a PDF format. The info regarding exercised options is on page 16.
