And, it would seem, the 'general' consensus of Americans on Muslims is that they are wild eyed fanatics out to blow up the world.

You play right into bin Laden's hands with this view. He would love to start a Holy War by turning all Americans against all Muslims. One of the things Bush is doing correctly is separating the fanatics from the true Muslims.

Someone who demonizes all of Islam becomes a stooge for bin Laden.
