Actually, KZAP, I don't think Third World nations attempt, as much as America, to legislate morality. I mean why have police, who would themselves do drugs, arrest drug doers; why have police, who would themselves elicit the services of prostitutes, arrest prostitutes; why have police, who themselves would gamble, arrest gamblers? Mostly this is done because a politician(s), who continously postulates before a geuninely concerned American citizenry, wants to look good. In summation, priests, politicians and police IN CHARGE of morality does not a good combination make. Me thinks we give the individual too little credit. Why? 'Cause most people have considered opinions about themselves and others, especially if given the chance.
