German unification took 23 years of strife. Ghenghis Khan campaigned for over two decades. Alexander the Great about one decade. Remember the Thirty Year War? The Americaspian Empire won't be born overnight. It will take decades. Recall, Gore Vidal calls it "Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace". I don't think he's exaggerating.
