Our 14th grandchild should arrive this week. :-):-) Garth, now that he is in management, is finding his time taken by work, a wife and four children and a house/yard that require a lot of attention. He attends the South Surrey Investment Club and does some reading. However, he has reduced the time spent on stocks to a minimum, at least for now. I haven't met with Michael Jacobs for the second time. However, I have communicated with him on the phone and by email. The following, as accurately as I can transmit it, is a summary of this communication. Business Plan & Projections The company is meeting the targets set out in its business plan. The sales did follow the projected curve. The actual numbers for April and May are material information and would require a news release. As you will recall, the projections, if my memory has remained fully functional, were for sales of more that $1 million in 2002 and $10 million in 2003. When I discussed these projections with Judy Findlay, it was apparent that the numbers were based upon a significant amount of research, market analysis, and professional advice. I will be delighted if the company reached, or even comes close to these projections. Specific Sales(Rural Metro) I was aware that ambulance service industry in the US is not necessarily doing well. I know as I held Laidlaw shares at one time. Also, I had heard that Rural Metro wasn't thriving all that well. Michael confirmed that both Rural Metro and American Response are both having difficulties. You will remember that Rural Metro was a key player in the original field trials. They still purchase product. However, these orders go through distributors so the company has no direct method of tracking their particular sales. This post is long enough. More in a few minutes.... Regards, Ed
