Some more interesting quotes from the "Findings of Fact and Order of Detention": "The Defendant's alleged short selling is distinguishable from legitimate investment techniques because it involved market manipulation, insider trading, and extortion. As to the manipulation, the Defendant's technique involved disseminating negative information first to his paid subscribers, so that they could lock in profits before dissemination to the public." In reference to the September 10th allegation: "However, the Court finds that the Defendant attempted to liquidate his 'long' positions but did not attempt to cover his 'short' positions."
