Msft had an amazing last qtr in license revenue growth. Unfortunately I don't know much about the msft product mix, .net etc. but last quarter was also flat for PC sales and yet msft was delivering double digit rev growth in the enterprise software area... how'd they do it, especially considering linux is gaining steam... dunno

what a wild mkt today, wish I was around to watch it, I still can't determine what was the upside catalyst, when I left home this am the naz was down 20.

Well.... they already said that they are dependent on pc's.

Even if it were true... are they going to stick their neck out with a few weeks in the quarter? If no one else is seeing an uptick, what are the chances that msft is especially since they have whacked the price of the xbox, unless they got a pop in pcs that are sitting on store shelves (in which case they have to guide lower for next quarter), what kind of valuation does a company with little growth deserve? Guess I'll have to do my post when merq is at it's low again and this time I short msft and buy merq and I know I'll end up ahead.

MGV,

World Com. et al going down-is this where people of
of principal go somewhere else or do we rally and demand
accountability from the deadheads that are sucking
us non players (read that as not top management of
major companies but stock buyers or traders) dry.

YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO LEAD. I am sick of putting out
my dollars and watching companies just blow up because
of dishonest acts and accounting fraud and would like
to participate on a somewhat level playing field.

MGV -- I would welcome any comments you have.
