In stories and rules both the Torah and the Bible support this way of life." They may support it but THEY DIDN'T INVENT IT!! It's common sense to most people including our founding fathers who were very bright people and they wanted this country to be secular. "books which run counter to that must be destroyed or hidden from the people." Totalitarianism of any form is bad so don't exclude religious totalitarianism which is notorious for book banning and burning, fashion restrictions, freedom of speech, discrimination against minorities, women, and homosexuals. So in my view, your church values ain't so hot and I wish you and your ilk would just keep em private and we'll all get along.
