right. Most of us have rented living space some time in our lives. I have seen dozens of rental agreements in my time. Some of them need a team of mules to tote, some are barely more than a handshake. The lack of definition in the latter almost always leads to hard feeling regarding what the tennant or landlord's expectations were from the beginning.

Where there is no specifically stated expectation, either party is welcome to interpret things as they wish; but when push comes to shove, the one with the keys to the door is right.
