This newfound skepticism is funny, because these same Democrats - Tom Daschle, Dick Gephardt, Dianne Feinstein, Christopher Dodd, John McCain, etc. - never once questioned Bill Clinton's timing when he attacked that Sudanese aspirin factory that he falsely claimed was making biological weapons. Innocent people died in the attack, and from lack of the lifesaving medicines that were no longer produced. (The August 22, 1999 Boston Globe reported that the factory "produced 90% of Sudan's major pharmaceutical products.") Not one Democrat ever asked the obvious question: "Why did Clinton order it at that time?" which had an equally obvious answer: Monica Lewinsky. Nor did they question the bombing of Iraq and those empty training camps in Afghanistan - all a day or two after his own disastrous grand jury testimony. But now they're suspicious? Wednesday's New York Times reports that federal prosecutors were expected to have to go public with some of the information, which they did. So they wanted the people to know what was going on first. It's another one of these non-stories - something that's become a cottage industry at CBS News, which now reports that the NSA heard that "something big" was coming on 9/10. Wow, what a scoop! Look, my friends. It's natural to ask why Attorney General Ashcroft released the information on this bomb-plotter at this time and while he was in Moscow. I was the first to raise the question. Politics factors into everything in Washington, but we must make it known that these are the same people who found nothing strange about Clinton's use of military force, and the deaths it led to, for personal gain. There's no personal gain in Ashcroft's announcement, folks. Think about that. rushlimbaugh.com
