Re: "Libertarians are for liberty. No government at all."

LOL! And, what do you think could replace 'government'?

A pay-per-view free-for-all down in the yeasty firmament?

...No, one of the proper rolls for government is as a guarantor for the citizen's liberties, and security.

Even if we had a Direct Citizen's Democracy - such as an 'Electronic Democracy' where all citizens could vote in near real time on issues that affected them - we would still need some sort of government to implement the required actions, to perform permanent standing functions.

No, no one I've ever heard of says we can do away with government (although, a lot of 'reducing' government wouldn't hurt us any). 1/3 of Gross Domestic Product is WAY to big a government to my taste.

Correction Gao, Libertarians may scarcely believe in Government as we know it, but they do not believe in "no government at all," as you put it, nor anarchy.

Today, Libertarians commonly accept that one thing they do NOT need is more anarchy in their lives. A well ordered Government respecting the individual rights afforded by virtue of becoming a practicing Republic, is the ticket. Common sense laws and juries of peers, ya know?
