I posted those links to illustrate a point about what insider selling can PORTEND about the fate of a stock (company). Yes, those are good articles.

Many shares flooded the market in 2000, 2001 and even this year. Many companies have not gone under (SONS NUAN NUFO CFLO STOR ONIS etc).

I do not use overall numbers (are they reliable and what do they really mean in terms of overall money supply?).

I follow individual stocks and price action but based on what I have read and the SUBSEQUENT price action of stocks (and the announcements of their respective companies), I have strong reason to believe that the loss of capital with the bear downturn coupled with the flood of shares is weighing down the market.

Add to that sentiment, distrust, CEO indictments, CEO arrests, etc and you have the makings of something that is tepid except for those dramatic short covering rallies. (every now and then need some fun with the shorts)

Also I saw recently some significant share releases (for e.g. NT) along with fresh IPOs (of course not the networking tech stock kind of IPOs).

Some big IPOs too. It all ADDS UP imo.
