Mad used to be wonderful. I can't believe they can have maintained that level of quality for forty years. Did you see that Punch is now gone? Our family used to get Punch, and I loved it. Much more sophisticated humor than we get in this country. A hundred and fifty years of publishing history, ended.

As for "Mad".. I haven't read it for years.. I read the "Onion" here once in awhile, when someone supplies the links.. But I can't quit reading, observing and thinking, but fortunately cases like these do not cause much me angst, if that is what "they" want.. If they want to live in the society of "Angst"' So be it... What causes me some angst, is things I care about, what people are caught in, that they do not like and other causes, and I can do only so much while many others do not give a damn... But if I give my best effort, I have learned that helps the angst level very much.. I have realized, I can not lift the whole of all suffering off the backs of those, but if I do my little part, it will help.. And then I go recharge my batteries with the fun of living.. Where I spend most of my time.. Anyway "Monster's Ball".. We will get it.. I promise.. But the beautiful, early summer evenings on the eastern slope take up so much time.. Good night, m
