Semibear, "Stop the mentality about America is #1 and everyone else are one class below. In my travels, the one comment I've heard several times was "Americans are big fat liars"." I really think you and DaiTN have it wrong. Ok, some Americans are liars, and some are loud, but the vast majority are not. It's unfair to characterize us in this way. I believe what we Americans are most proud of is the system of government and traditions of fairness we have established in this country. It is granted that we Americans and our system aren't perfect. As Winston Churchill said, "It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried." Most of us regard Churchill's above remark as a truism. I suppose some may view it as just another example of western arrogance.
