"Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me" (Mel Carter) and "Since I Fell for You" (Lenny Welch) are other faves. Both were featured on PublicTV's wonderful "Doo Wop" shows.

You are so right - WQED in Pittsburgh & especially the producer T.J. Lubinsky have done a superb job with those shows. The latest, "Red, White & Rock" was a 3 night affair and will probably be airing sometime in the fall. It's my understanding that these shows have had the highest ratings for any PBS series ever.

My favorite performances include Mel Carter(as you mentioned) as well as Jerry Butler & Betty Everett's "Let It Be Me", Percy Sledge's "When a Man Loves a Woman", Jay Black's "Cara Mia" & all the songs by Little Anthony & the Imperials.

BTW, I've been told that Tommy James & the Shondels performed "Mony, Mony" for RW&R - I'm looking forward to seeing that.
