Kevin,

You must be from the slacker generation. Re: FWIW. I don't think you can blame Sept 11th on him;

That's only because he's his father's son. It was his poppy's pals who fit the bill (no pun intended) as the greatest beneficiaries of a terror event in the media.
I blame it on them. Or Rio.

Do a quick cui bono? analysis of who prospered because of Operation 911. Here's a clue. It wasn't al Queda. Nor was it the the communists in 1933, in this prequel to the horror movie the Bush cinematographers forced us to endure:

wsws.org

You do recall the plot line from that wonderful Newman-Redford flick, "The Sting"? Remember the line, "Lonagan will never remember the wire." when Henry Gondorff was trying to find the right "big con" to work?

That's what 'le doble Jorges' just did on the big stage. America got had.

"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
For you slow elk in the audience, the Arbustos are working a con, and you are the angle.

The only thing backfiring is every democrat attack.

You sit there smirking while attacking the intelligence agencies, and when a major announcement is made that will remedy the problem, you say the announcement is made to cover up the problem. No dude, the announcement was made to fix the problem.

I don't think you can blame Sept 11th on him; I think it was a failure of the intelligence services.

It is a bit naive to believe a successful terrorist act would not have reached American shores. The WTC was attacked once before. Had the previous attack been successful it would have been viewed differently by the public.

However our security agencies and those responsible for them should have taken notice and action. Was airport security beefed up significantly?

Also terrorism is not random violence as most would have you believe. The US was attacked because of its foreign policy. The Bush policy in the middle east was a shift to the right. He should have realized there are consequences to his actions...he often speaks of responsibility for actions.

He provoked those with hate towards the US and did nothing to prepare for the consequences. He should have anticipated a terrorist attack.

It makes no difference that he did not know the specifics of the attack. He doesn't know the specifics of any attacks now and yet he is taking action. So logic says he should have taken action before Sep 11.
