Gore Busted With White House Statue Along with cataloguing over $20,000 worth of damage to the White House by departing Clinton staffers, Tuesday's General Accounting Office report also busted former Vice President Al Gore for making off with a White House sculpture that he kept for six months. A bust of Abraham Lincoln that had been on display in the White House mysteriously vanished with the Clinton-Gore gang. But according to the GAO report, the artwork hadn't gone missing at all - but instead had found a new home with Al and Tipper in Tennessee. An ex-Gore staffer told the GAO that other Gore aides had "inadvertently packed" the Lincoln bust and shipped it off to the Gore homestead, reported the New York Post.
