MM,

I agree with your take on VOD. The other issue is that every movie ever made could be downloaded. Choice goes up without regard to available shelf space at Blockbuster. Copyright security is a big issue which needs to be resolved before Hollywood puts their full weight behind VOD. I feel Scientific Atlanta SFA will benefit from VOD. They have the operating system for cable set top boxes, Power TV. It allows downloads to on board hard drive. They also provide the networking equipment for cable companies. A competitive threat could be the Microsoft X-box. I think MSFT is targeting the home network via the video game console. This could include cable TV. Any thoughts?
