tone of market improving. yesterday we closed with a strong rally. is the totality of negativism perhaps a contra sign (translation for Nemer) - MAYBE THERE IS HOPE!!!! (no, i don't want to hear about hope in one hand and sh*t in the other.)

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think that you would find that pattern holds up over a longer period of time. Both periods were during a bear market, and you only went back one year for the June to Sep period. Now if you could show that the market goes down most years during the June to Sep period no matter if we were in a bear, bull, or flat market between Feb and June, then you have a good point. Otherwise I wouldn't lay any serious money on that trend. Dan
