The basis is the # of rfps and rfqs the company has. In the presentation the other day he mentioned products in testing with the three major NA carriers. Claimed that broadwing cut labor costs 75% by adopting corvis products. The telcos have to cut costs or die. Corvis has an answer for this. Finally the glut is not universal and some major routes will be at full capacity this fall. Traffic is growing even if prices aren't. This year for the first time telco rfps were for optical components instead of dwm. These are my impressions based on things I have read over the last year or so. I truly believe that Corvis' time is approaching. If I'm off by a year I don't really care. The stock is cheap enough.
