Most of use spend more time reserching buying a new car than we do investing in a company. I think TYC proves my point. They were carrying on their books for $11 bil. Now they are talking about an IPO bringing in less than $6 bil. GLW went on it's own buying spree. What kind of value are they carrying purchases for?
AOL had $54 billion dollars of extra shareholder equity on their books. I think there is more there to be written off.
