How did they manage to get elected? they were looking for a cause, something to fill their glorified but vacant lives.

My neighbor was school superintendent and battled constantly with the school board. He was Jewish, not that it matters. Anyway, the board finally bought out his contract, proceeds of which he used to buy a new Cadillac.

He had a fine family, by the way. I liked him better than the school board.

My other neighbor, a born again Christian according to him, was a loudmouth who still wanted me to have my poor dog put to sleep after I found a $10 lamb carcass in my yard and replaced it with a $75 sheep even though I had no evidence my dog did anything but drag it into my yard. We had been elk hunting together, but after falling out over the sheep never spoke to him again except out of necessity. I built a $500 chain link fence to confine my dog so there would be no further question about sheep.

So, should I conclude that born-again Christians are bad news? I don't think so.
