I know something about this, Gao. It's true, but people trying to keep fire out were doing the best they knew how according to the best science at the time. There is an alternative to all this carnage, but it is politically unpopular. In fact, the green wing has all but put forest management down on public lands. These same jokers are the ones building their log cabins out in wild country. We are going to pay big time. This is just the beginning. (Remember 2000? It's not even July yet, for Gawd's sake!)
