NEWS: Car Bomb Kills 8 at U.S. Consulate in Pakistan

story.news.yahoo.com.

KARACHI, Pakistan (AP) - A suicide attacker crashed a bomb-laden vehicle into a guard post outside the U.S. Consulate in Karachi on Friday, killing at least seven other people and injuring 45.
The massive blast incinerated a dozen cars, blew a 10-foot-wide hole in the compound wall, and sent debris flying a half-mile.
No Americans were believed killed, but one U.S. Marine and five Pakistani employees in the consulate were lightly injured.

...and up goes gold

I don't think today qualifies as the bottom. I really want to see a down open, a rally and a deeper low on the close. The buy the dippers are still out in force. I'd love someone to tell me that other than the Plunge Prevention Team manipulating the market by buying the big caps like MSFT why has it been so strong?
