I do hope the boo birds don't knock themselves out in their hurry to flock here to remind themselves that you missed an interim high. Your prescience and your detail about why the market moves have taught many lessons that will last well beyond these days.

It's easy to lose the forest when caught up in daily tree branches. It takes discipline to step back, look far and near, to understand that profits do not have to be chased every day, and to see what lies beneath the forest floor nurturing or undermining the trees.

These forums are a give & take place where folks with some forest science skills can gather and learn from each other. Those who contribute to the body of knowledge are rewarded by gaining more knowledge. Those who gather to learn, and to gain, may also enjoy some of the rutabaga gravy.

As with all forests, boo birds come to scavenge, robbing what they can from the nest and briefly drowning out the songbirds with their anti-turniparian caws & cackles. Were they to take the far view, they'd realize they, too, will too soon fall and be turned to compost in a forest that lives on well past them.

And so it goes, in the cycle of things. As I stroll through your turnip patch, Sir Zeev, I note the richness of the earth and the fine grain of the turnips. Only rarely do I notice the brief shadows of the boo birds, and even then I'm compelled to smile, because their droppings only add to the richness of the humus. They do not realize which end their sole contribution comes from. But turnips do.

Thanks for all the light you add to the forest. It draws in some very adept root vegetables and makes the ecosystem fun.
