Doug remember, it's what your stock account looks like after five or ten years that counts. Big deal if you make $5K today and lose $4K Monday. Take out your STCG’s along with commissions and research costs and your just spinning your wheels. I can pull a few thousand a week out of any one of my businesses with much less risk than is involved in daytrading so what’s the point. I only invest when the payoff is phenomenal not nominal. I can assure you that only a handful of daytraders found on SI will actually be ahead five years from now. Everyone here makes money all of the time. Just ask them and they’ll tell you... Ron Dior
