<<Isn't ironic that of the few people who post here, most have had someone break into their house? >>

I've never had my house broken into. The closest was when I was 14 and staying alone for a few nights. I was watching the late show and kept hearing a noise at the door like someone was trying to pick the lock. He must have peeked through the window and figured a kid wouldn't be any problem.

The week before I had gone to a gun show and bought a magnum deer rifle. 7mm Remington Magnum. I dropped in a couple of rounds and slammed the bolt shut. The noise stopped and after a bit I opened the door and saw tracks in the new snow. I followed them and he had gone a block through back yards to his car and left. Never did come back either.

I think it's more common now because of the judicial system and the morals of teens and young adults, they just don't give a damn......
