No. I have seen no evidence in the public domain to suggest that Mr. Elgindy is connected with the current investigation into the Illinois charity nor do I suggest that he is linked to that particular charity. What I do suggest is that there have been connections between humanitarian organizations and Bin Laden, therefore in my opinion, humanitarian organizations are a prime area for investigation as our country wages a war on terrorism.

The document that I referenced that is in the public domain lists facts that were used to make a determination as to whether Mr. Elgindy should be detained in custody pending removal to the Eastern District of New York on the grounds of flight risk.
