here's an interesting stat heard via Bloomberg TV, and that is 44% of the money in the market is controlled by 75 funds. Max

That includes both categories. i.e. People playing in their own accounts. But exludes funds and insitutional money, which accounts for all the tide and ebb. The little guy just adds a little to that. This number used to be around 7 - 8 percent back in the 80's.
