My kids think I'm funny because of the way I explain things. Its not usually intentional and when I try to be funny they get annoyed.

When they were little, we had story time every night. I loved the snuggling in part of it. Some times I was brave and would let them pick, “Do you want a reading story or a telling story?” They always picked telling stories. I couldn’t tell if they just liked to put me to the challenge or if they liked the stories. Well, some of them I know they liked because they would make requests like: C’mon daddy tell the “rainbow hat” one or the “green meangies” one. To which, of course, I would reply in all sincerety, “huh?" Made me wish I had written some of them down. They still give me a nudge every once in a while for one of them but all is lost.
