I'm impressed w. many of the Founders, as well as more recent, such as TR, in "Theodore Rex", a good read.

When are we going to get accomplished, sense-making individuals like that again in public life?

Ah, playing "Devil's Advocate" for amusement.... Isn't that a little too sophisticated and 'high-brow' for most of the denizens of this thread?

(Many of them - names excerpted to protect the good name of 'village idiot' around the World - would have trouble with anything much above the level of grunting :)
