Flapjack,

We're way past the discussion about basic decency. Give it up....

Here's where we are at now:

"It's becoming increasingly clear that the U.S.A. is a confederacy of dunces. We do body cavity searches of 80 year old grandmothers and let some DSODARPAD2 thieves put $70 Billion holes in the ground outside Fairbanks, Alaska with no oversight. Franz Kafka would be having a wet dream over the script potential that modern AmeriKa presents. The absurdity of this country would be hysterical if it weren't so dangerous for the rest of the world. We are insane. We don't care. We're able to just bomb our way out of our contradictions as a nation. "

flap, Regardless of what one may wish for, there will always be a lower class, and an extremely rich class. Such has been the case throughout history. The class that is in danger in this country at this time, is the middle class. The rich should not be penalized, because they are the ones that supply the capital to build, and operate, the businesses that create jobs, and provide for earnings of any of the other classes. To penalize them for being rich will, in fact, penalize those that depend upon them for jobs, and wages. The rich do not need the lower, or middle, classes. They can pick up their marbles, and go home, any time they want, and leave all the rest to suck their thumbs, and wonder what to do.

Low unemployment figures are good for the company. People are needed to fill the minimum wage slots, and not every one can be elevated to the middle class. A good sound business, and military, base with a strong dose of patriotism thrown in, is what makes America strong. The whining, puling, simpering, and ridicule of the traditions, and policies that made this nation great, demo/liberal/socialistic folks on this thread, whose name I will not mention for fear of nausea, are the ones that weaken America.
