JDN...........thanks for being civil.....it's more productive for everyone if we can be civil to each other and both learn from each other's viewpoint.

Saddham is no Kindergarten teacher.......we both know that but I am not sure if he is more dangerous than anyone else. Right now Pakistan, who does have nuclear capability, has a government that is not very stable. Radicals could take over that country and then Pakistan would be more dangerous than Saddham. IF you take an objective look at the world, I think there are many countries that have that potential.

We don't use Iraq's oil now but our oil companies may have their sights on it for the future. We will definitely need more oil whether or not we drill in ALaska. THe oil fields in the old Soviet Union are suspect to be the real reason that Afghanistan was attacked and a new leadership was put in place. The present leader of Afghanistan was on the payroll of Unocal. THe LA TImes had articles with that situation described. THe pipeline that will be needed to get that oil to a seaport will need to go through Afghanistan. Since India and China are trying to upgrade their lifestyle, they will be our chief competition for that oil and they have huge populations which transcribes into a huge need for oil as their living standards increase.

I never believed that Saddham and Bin Ladin were partners in any terrorist venture because they both have HUGE egos. I doubt that there would be room for both those egos in any one organization.

WHy has Saddham become so dangerous? I just heard that he may let in weapons inspectors and I believe he will do that to call Bush's bluff.

We just can't go around the world taking out all leaders we don't like without killing innocent people.......theirs and ours. We also make many enemies and increase the pool of people who are willing to become suicide bombers as we kill their familes and destroy their property.

SOmebody, somewhere has to step up to the plate and say that this violence is wrong no matter who starts it. We become no better than them if we fall into the trap of violence...........it begets more violence. Yes, something has to be done to stop the terrorism, but if you think that military action will stop it just look at Israel's history. No country has struck harder against terrorism than they have and look where it has led? They have more terror attacks than any other country.

If bombers start showing up in our malls and shopping centers our economy will take a horrid additional hit. It may be time to buy e-tail stocks!!!
