At any given moment there will always be at least one paper money that people trust. There has to be, because you cannot trade gold for bread.

I wonder what would happen if Visa or other e-money merchant with access to virtually every economic entity on the planet decided to produce their own asset-backed currency?

Can money be privatized?

I doubt the whole corp structure is damned. There has been a lot of damage but it will be repaired and for the better.
