That's probably true when their stock is going up.

Those stock options given to Nortel execs didn't quite work out for shareholders did they? When I quit in 1999 they had a book value of $10 Billion+ and now !!!poof!!!.

I find it ironic the last project I worked on there was a software system for dolling out stock options. I left when the system couldn't handle more the 5 users (WebObjects) which was the exact same thing I warned about 6 months earlier. What a Dilbert world.
