Re: timing is everything and this President has been a master of timing.

That's my main fear. If Bush sees the election getting away from him, I have no doubt that he'd concoct some massive "terrorist" event in order to bolster his control over the apparatus of governing. Not fair, but effective, that's my main concern.

Remember the Tonkin Gulf Resolution? Megalomaniacs in elite levels of the government will stop at nothing to get their way.
