Fortunately for all of us, neither Clinton nor Bush rely on the prejudices of the mob to decide public policy. Left to the whims of the undereducated, overemotional and ill informed public, we'd already be incinerating Arabs with nucular barbeque spits. And they in turn would be trashing anything American.

The mob is a ridiculous gage of how to run a country. This is true for Damascus, Islamabad, Baghdad, Boise, Iowa City and Denver.
