"As a concerned terrorism analyst, I say the following to the media: You are making the jobs of terrorism analysts, intelligence officers and law enforcement officials very difficult. Help us, don't hinder us from defeating our enemies."

Lost cause. Here is what seems like the obvious thing to do considering the new state of things media and all....I saw a movie a while back (Godzilla) I think. You catch the terrorists like Godzilla in the movie. You get them to come to you by creating the conditions they are looking for.

The trick to catching Godzilla was like hunting for nightcrawlers (nightcrawlers are those big juicy worms). Well, I used to do that when I was a kid. It would be impossible to dig for them and hope to get much. What you do is make the conditions just right and get the night crawlers to come out and expose themselves. I would turn the sprinklers on full blast before evening so that the ground was soaked with a little standing water on top of the ground, (wet not puddled). Go away and come back with a flashlight when it was pitch dark. On a good night in the summer there would be hundreds of them out in the yard. The crawlers can feel your foot steps, so you have to stalk them like a cat or they'd zip back into the hole before you could get a finger on them. Anyway, the idea is to create just the type of opportunity a terrorist couldn't resist and nab them as they show up.

Now that I said that and this is a form of media, I guess we can't use the idea.
