He never broke his leg, he had hip dysplaysia. What they did was to break his hip socket on his worse leg, turn it 1/8 turn and screw it back in. Gave him one good hind leg. Recovery was 8 months instead of two. Slept on the floor next to him with a towel under him to help him get up. Long 8 months.

He never hunted but he was a good companion dog for Sue. I took him to the vet, made the decision not to have him put away. Sue went with me to get him. From then on he was Sue's dog.
