<No one wins when Intel is at 9 and AMD subsequently at 4. >

That's about right with the DOW at 5000. However a drop of Y-1929 magnitude will take the DOW to under 1500. Most folks consider such scenario extremely unlikely -- otherwise they would all be in cash and equivalents.

Jim, Ah, ever the sadist am I, I plucked the wings from the 'bees?

I hope to see a countervailing trend with AMD making a profit and Intel losing a little.
It may just come to pass.

Jim:

"No one wins when Intel is at 9 and AMD subsequently at 4."

You're thinking like INTC thinkers...Another possible outcome is INTC at $9 and AMD at $30!!! A successful Hammer launch should see to this ratio realignment...If confidence in the economic recovery is gained at the same time, perhaps we'll see INTC at $30 and AMD at $75!!!

I do, along with all the others waiting for the right price!
