I don't know anything about Mr. Baxter's suicide (I presume that he was the fellow from Enron), but the gentleman from El Paso had a terminal illness (believed to be cancer) and was rapidly approaching a stage in his illness that would have had him suffering immensely, and would have been a severe drain on his survivors' finances as well as their spirits. (At least that's the story I heard on one of the news programs here, not sure which one. The family spokesperson did not deny the news story.)
