I thought you had decided on Tucson. What changed your mind?

I hadn't decided on it, but I have been considering it. Still am. One of the reservations I have about it is water availability. The place is still growing to the point where traffic has become a real problem and they have become dependent on imported water from the Colorado. I have in mind a home, which I have sketched out, which is basically an indoor lap pool surrounded by a great room.

I was looking on the net for potential apartment rentals until I settle in and was surprised how few of them have pools and that pools in the area are only open in the summer, just like here. The assisted living community where my father lives has year-round pool availability. It simply never occurred to me that swimming in Tucson was a seasonal thing. Not that I couldn't find an indoor pool, you understand, only that I was surprised that my expectations were incorrect and wondering what other expectations might be misplaced.

But mostly, as I mentioned earlier, it's the inertia.

EDIT: Speaking of fathers, I was scheduled to call mine fifteen minutes ago and got wrapped up in posting. On father's day, to boot. Shame on me.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.
