Up until then the Chessie club had worked hard on preventing hip disease. I wrote the club president and got a ho hum response.

I remember going to puppy trials and guys pointing out the pups from the CE line. You could spot them as early as 3 months because of the overly developed front legs from not using their hind quarters as much as a normal pup.
